Abstract:
As material costs account a high percentage of overall cost, the success of projects are heavily dependent on material related factors and processes. In Turkey because of extensively using in-situ concrete in construction, the supply chain for reinforcement and the concrete became important. One of the components of concrete is “re-bars” and its supply chain, rbSC (rebar supply chain) was used in the scope of subject. This study aims to analyze the relationships between rbSC participants and rbSC performance. The effect of each participant with its influencing level of rbSC performance was deduced in this study. In this context, a questionnaire survey was administered to the rbSC participants and the data gathered was analysed with structural equation modeling (SEM) rules. LISREL was used and the outputs of LISREL were evaluated to determine the impacts of participants on rbSC performance.
